Dr. Tony D. Vu

Dr. Vu completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis, where he graduated magna cum laude. From there, he attended the prestigious University of California, Berkeley, where he received his doctorate degree in Optometry. He continued his optometric training through a residency program at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fresno, California. There, he specialized in hospital based optometry, with an emphasis in ocular pathology. He managed and treated patients with ocular inflammation, infection, trauma, vascular retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, ocular neuropathy, ocular tumor, cataract, and dry eyes. Dr. Vu also received residency training in low vision rehabilitative optometry, specializing in assisting visually impaired adults with low vision aids.Upon finishing his residency training, Dr. Vu worked for two ophthalmology practices. There, he further developed his knowledge and skills in the area of ocular pathology by working with retinal, corneal, and glaucoma specialists. It was during this time with the corneal specialist that Dr. Vu developed his passion for fitting irregular corneas with specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Vu has brought his experience and passion for eye care to his practice today. He has cared for the vision and eye health of patients in the Orange County area since 2000. He is also board certified to treat glaucoma.
He was an active member of the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce and continues to be an avid "booster" for the sports programs at Fountain Valley High School. In his off time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Karissa Do, and two lovely children, Kyle and Mikayla. Outside of family and work, his other passion is cycling. He enjoys road, gravel and mountain biking. He is always looking for fellow cyclists to ride with. So if you are passionate about cycling, let Dr. Vu know.

Dr. Do received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Los Angeles. At UCLA, she was involved with Chi Alpha Delta Sorority and Unicamp, volunteering as a camp counselor for inner city youth. Dr. Do went on to attend the top ranked Optometry School in the country, University of California, Berkeley, where she met her husband, Dr. Tony Vu. She graduated with her doctorate degree in Optometry with honors.
Dr. Do is passionate about taking care of her patients to ensure that they have the best vision care solutions. She likes to educate patients about their eyes and is excited to provide the highest quality care to patients of all ages. She enjoys providing primary eye care services in addition to pediatric eye care, specialty contact lens fittings, ocular pathology treatment, and LASIK co-management. As a native of Vietnam, Dr. Do is fluent in Vietnamese although she came to live in California at an early age. She enjoys playing tennis, scrapbooking, crafts, reading, and spending time with her family. Their two teenage children keep them very busy. In her spare time, she volunteers at her children's school and is a Girl Scout Troop leader for her daughter's troop. She loves to travel and enjoys family vacations to San Francisco, Hawaii, Mexico, and Japan. Dr. Do is accepting new patients and enjoys seeing family members of all her patients. Her goal is for each patient to have a personalized experience and to continue to care for and get to know her patients for years to come.
