- Get regular eye exams
- Eye exercising - move your eyes side to side, up and down, and in a circle
- Proper lighting - avoid excessively bright outdoor and/or indoor light which causes glare
- Screen cleaning - minimize glare by removing dust from your screen
- Distance adjusting - keep your screen 20-28 inches away from your eyes
- Glare reducing - make sure your lenses have anti-glare and blue-violet treatment
- Font scaling - zoom in or make fonts bigger so they're easier to read
- Frequent blinking - every 20 minutes, slowly blink at least 10 times
- Computer glasses - consider these to help your eyes focus properly at the computer and to reduce glare and blue-violet light exposure
- 20-20-20 rule - approximately every 20 minutes, take a 20 second break and look away at least 20 feet to relax your eyes
